Fresh off her second feature performance at Toronto's the Rex Hotel, Jenna Marie brings her signature jazz and blues voice that hints at Sarah Vaughan and Aretha Franklin but is distinctly her own. She is best known for her smooth-sounding jazz and rich r&b vocals, her wide vocal range and passionate performances. She is a quickly gaining reputation in Toronto as a uniquely warm spirit and engaging performer. Originally from Montreal QC, Jenna Marie now lives in Toronto and studies Jazz Voice Performance at the University of Toronto under Christine Duncan and Chase Sanborn. 
Jenna Marie is a bandleader, arranger, songwriter and improviser. She is currently working on multiple projects including Jenna Marie Quintet, Jazz United, the Jazz United Jam, Jenna Marie and Hannah Barstow Duo, Golddiggers Trio, and Jenna Marie Sings R&B. This year, the University of Toronto Vocal Jazz Ensemble performed her compositions and arrangements at Walter Hall (2017-2018). She is also a Via Rail Artist Onboard, and has travelled to Halifax as an acoustic guitarist and singer. This summer, Jenna Marie made her Big Band as the guest vocalist for the University of Toronto Hart House Jazz Ensemble at the Rex Hotel. 

Over the past year, Jenna Marie has found a deep love for tap dance and the Toronto tap community. As one of three partners at the Jazz United Jam and Jazz United Band with Travis Knights and Kristian Podlacha, she has connected with some of the worlds more renowned tap professionals. Jenna Marie recently sang alongside many of Canada’s best tap dancers at Toronto Rhythm Initiatives production of “TRI Explores the Music of: Ella Fitzgerald”. She was the feature vocalist at Ottawa’s “The Arts Court Theatre” show and was the guest vocalist at Toronto’s “The Great Hall” performance. 

Jenna Marie has a great passion for building an intersectional music community and thrives to promote safe and equal opportunity for all through the bands she leads, music she writes and jams she hosts.
